Coolant AN Line Upgrade Install
Headlight 1.Plastic Covers
For the S7, remove the plastic covers around the headlights to access the radiator area. This step is not necessary for the S6.
Remove Radiator Cover
Detach the radiator cover by removing the two plastic pins at the top.
Remove Underneath Plastic Cover
Once the radiator cover is removed, locate and unscrew the three T30 bolts beneath it to detach the additional plastic cover.
Remove Intake
Remove the intake to access the coolant lines and components.
Remove Intake Air Guide
For factory setups, remove the two T30 bolts holding the air guide. Aftermarket intakes typically use two Allen bolts instead.
Remove Splash Shields
Pull back or remove the splash shields beneath the vehicle to access the lower cooling system components.
Drain Coolant
Position a catch container under the vehicle. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, open the coolant drain plug to let the system drain completely.
Disconnect OEM fittingsCoolant (pullLines
Lift up on thetabrelease wire),tabs of the OEM coolant lines, then pull them straight out.
2. Once the OEM lines are removed, disassemble the new fittings. Push the new collar portion down on the tabs, and then thread the insert into the collarout to lockdisconnect. theExpect fittingsome intoresidual the tank.
3. Remove the OEM lines from the radiator. This will create a mess duecoolant to coolantdrain spillage,out, so ensure you havekeep a rag or somethingcontainer toready.
collectInstall AN Adapters
Install thedrippingAN coolant.adapter by double-wrenching them securely for a tight fit.
4.Route and Install AN Lines
The front coolant lineconsistsincludes of theboth 45-degree and 90-degree line.connectors. Do not followAvoid the OEMfactory routingpath; forinstead, this line. Routeroute the linelines around the engine front of the motor and through the center of the core support to the radiator.
5.Connect Theto lineCoolant comingCrossover fromLine
Use thesidesupplied ofbarb fitting to attach the bottleAN attachesline to the coolant crossover line on the passenger sideside. ofTip: Temporarily removing the motor.rubber Usecrossover hose may make it easier to attach the barb fitting and attach it toreattach the rubber hose onsecurely.
Refill Coolant
Refill the coolantcrossoversystem line.with TheAudi-approved easiest method we found wascoolant to removeensure compatibility. Follow the rubberrecommended hosemixture entirelyratio specified in the owner’s manual.
Bleed Air from the car,System
Toattachfully bleed the barb/fittingsystem, tojack up the rubberpassenger hose,side of the car. Remove the upper cowl cover, locate the bleed hole, and then reattachopen it tountil a steady stream of coolant flows out, indicating all air has been purged. Then, close the crossoverbleed line.
